Younis Peach

Hello everyone,

I’m Younis Peach, a 3rd-year medical student with a strong interest in surgery, and I’m excited to apply for the role of Executive Committee Member. I’m passionate about making Surgsoc even more practical, supportive, and inclusive for all members.

If elected, I will work to:

• Enhance practical skills training – expand hands-on workshops for all levels, from beginner suturing to more advanced techniques.
• Strengthen career support and networking – host sessions with surgeons and trainees focused on mentorship, portfolio building, electives, and research opportunities.
• Foster collaboration and innovation – partner with other medical societies to deliver multidisciplinary events that reflect real surgical teamwork.
• Make surgery more accessible – ensure fair access to resources and opportunities, with beginner-friendly teaching and low-barrier entry to events.

I’m committed to helping Surgsoc be more dynamic, high-impact, and welcoming, while keeping events useful and well-organised. I’d be honoured to have your support.
