Rahul Puri

Hey everyone! I'm Rahul Puri, a third year Medical student running for the General Executive Committee.


Motivations:
I’m applying because Surgsoc has genuinely shaped my medical school journey, and I’d love the opportunity to give back. As an aspiring orthopaedic surgeon, I’ve built a strong network within orthopaedics and have greatly benefited from attending SurgSoc conferences over the past few years. I want to network and expertise to help deliver the same high-quality, inspiring experiences for others!

Relevant Experience:

• Former ICSM Vision subcommittee member and current ICSM Vision MMA Day Conference Chair. Led the delivery of a large-scale conference for 300+ Y13 medicine applicants, including lectures and a 9 station mock MMI circuit, receiving excellent feedback from attendees and lecturers.
  
  
• Current ICSM SurgSoc subcommittee member, having assisted with the planning and execution of both the Inaugural and International Trauma conferences. Developed skills in publicity and sponsorship.
  
  
• Head of Curriculum at Medology. Regularly audit and improve educational provision while closely coordinating with Admissions Directors and Regional Leads. Regularly engage in servant leadership - leadership through service, with an emphasis on promoting tangible personal and professional growth in every team member.
