Surgical: Executive Committee Member

Hi everyone! I'm Khushi, a second year medic. It would be a pleasure to be one of Surgical Society's Executive Committee Members next year.

I have been an active member of surgical society this year, by attending the Trauma Conference and soon, the upcoming Microsurgery Conference. I would love the opportunity to use my experience as an attendee of these events, to now be part of committee and bring engaging events for you all.

I believe I have the skills and experience required to thrive in the role. Previously in subcommittee of Hindu Society, and currently Publicity Officer, I am responsible for promoting events and providing updates via all social media platforms. Not only has this enhanced my ability to work in a large team, but also helped me develop great communication, organisation and effective time management skills through planning posts + messages in a prompt fashion. I would ensure to use these skills when leading and helping in various events throughout next year.

Going forwards, I aim to introduce an event on Paediatric Surgery - a field that has not yet been explored in the society. Additionally, I would like to promote more proactive student engagement and feedback. This will allow us to cater to a wider range of areas within surgery, specific to the preference of our ICSM community.
