Hi everyone! I’m Prarthana (PV!), and I’m running to be your third year Academic Representative.

This year marks a big transition from pre-clinical to clinical learning. While exciting for some (myself included!), I appreciate it can also feel daunting, particularly for those who prefer a more structured learning environment. I’d like to help make this transition as smooth as possible, ensuring our academic experience is organised, supportive and manageable for everyone.

My priorities:

• Better placement organisation: Encourage sharing placement tips, useful resources and advice from older years, while raising concerns about placement organisation and communication.

• A manageable workload: Represent concerns about workload and balancing placement commitments, independent learning and exam preparation.

• Clearer assessment guidance: Work with faculty to improve access to revision resources, clarify assessment expectations and help us feel better prepared for exams.

• Your voice being heard: Create an open space to share concerns, ideas and suggestions, represent your feedback to faculty and keep everyone informed about progress.

I’m approachable, organised and proactive, with ideas for how we can improve third year together. I want to be someone you can come to with concerns, knowing they’ll be taken seriously and represented fairly.

I can’t promise to fix everything, but I can promise to listen, speak up and keep you informed.
