Hey everyone, I'm Alex and I would love to be your academic rep this year. You may know me from my room tour on the Imperial Instagram page ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
On top of maintaining strong communication between the student body and FEO, there are some other changes that I would like to see implemented as academic rep:
- Chase FEO up on placement travel reimbursements $$! Some of us are commuting huge distances for daily placements and at great cost (cheers TfL); faculty has not given much of an update on how/ when the travel reimbursements will occur.
- Have approved absences not count as a strike towards your attendance: I'm sure many of us have been suffering from freshers flu or other issues, and it would be great not to have to worry about a formal warning being placed on your file due to reasons outside of our control.
- Simplify the Patient Clerking Form on Sparkforms. This is a form all of us have to fill in all the time, and there have been quite a few complaints about some parts of the form being quite finicky (drop down menus) and ambiguous .
- Ensure the slides are uploaded onto Canvas before the lecture
