Year 3 is a big change from the past two years and I would like to help make that step up a bit easier.

One thing I'd really like to do is make sure each placement rotation actually learns from the one before it. E.g if the first medicine rotation spends 8 weeks figuring out sign-offs, missing teaching, or things they wish they'd known earlier, the next group should NOT have to discover the exact same thing 🫩

I want to use short targeted check-ins DURING placements rather then relying on one massive survey at the end. That way, if one site / placement is having trouble or if there are realistic improvements/clarifications that could be made, we can actually raise it while you guys are still there.

I'm sure many of us will have plentyyy of questions about the written exam, OSCEs, and what's actually expected of us, which is why I think a running FAQs of confirmed answers that we can update throughout the year might be very useful.

I can't promise to fix everything, but I promise I'll chase things, get proper answers ASAP, and feed that information back to the gc, rather than letting issues dissapear into the void.

I'd love to work with you guys and hopefully make Year 3 a little more smooth sailing for everyone :)
