Hey! I'm Kyriakos and I would like to be your academic representative!

As we're already being pingponged between enough websites in search for our resources, I would like to avoid further browser clutter by establishing a centralised platform for all things academic that need to be relayed between the staff and us - students. Pivoting on the 'representative' aspect of my role, I plan on structuring the majority of the elements around your ideas and feedback.

Firstly, I want to establish term-round feedback-concern avenues, be that a quick online submission, a planned physical meeting, or an anonymous concern. Building on that, with almost a month having passed since we started, I intend to create a digital survey on the transition process, where you will be asked to share your views on the teaching and assessing styles thus far, provided resources, pacing, timetabling, or anything else you feel like flagging. Having cross-referenced and collected shared areas for improvement, I will be able to accurately move them up the chain and request change.

Communication must travel in two directions, so the same platform will update you of any outcomes or changes as soon as I receive them. While working with older student representatives, it could be beneficial to ask them for advice on what worked well with their year, and suggest that to you, too. Going back to my introduction, my first recommendation to the staff would be to try gathering all our resources in one place to streamline access.
