Kiruthigaa Arunan

Hi guys,

I’m Kiruthigaa and I would love to be the Secretary of Paediatrics society for the coming year. After being part of Playteam, attending the conference and seeing how the society works, I understand the responsibilities that come with being a member of committee. Having seen the effort and planning that is required by committee and the admin work required by the secretary, I believe I am capable of fulfilling this role to the required standards. Having served as the Events Officer for Nutritank, I have valuable insights into the organisational dynamics of a society; this role involved me planning and organising events and a conference which relied on me liaising with both internal and external people and maintaining clear communication with everyone. Additionally, I have actively been part of various subcommittees. These experiences have allowed me to attain experiences and skills which will prove to be useful for this role. As secretary, I will ensure to liaise with committee throughout the year to organise events and maintain communications by regularly sending out newsletters of upcoming events and use it as an opportunity to celebrate the growth and achievements of Paediatrics society. I have really enjoyed my time being part of Playteam and attending the Paediatrics conference and I would love to be part of such an amazing society and give back by taking on this role.
