Sahana Senthilkumar
Hi! My name is Sahana, I'm a second-year medical student, and I'm applying for the Endocrinology subcommittee.
I was introduced to endocrinology in year one, where I learnt about a huge range of conditions with fascinating pathophysiology, but what I loved most was the active problem-solving: being shown an abnormal blood test, comparing symptoms, building my understanding, and finally landing on an endocrine diagnosis. I plan to develop that interest further as part of the subcommittee, learning from students further along in their studies, contributing to teaching, and building the clinical reasoning skills that first drew me to it.
Why I'm a good fit:
- I'm in second year, so I know what topics people struggle with, especially in first year, and I can tailor the teaching series to help you get the most out of it.
- I've worked as part of a team since my school days as a prefect, so I'm used to taking responsibility and helping a group.
- I'm organised and good at juggling priorities, so I can be trusted to keep things on track when deadlines pile up.
What I'll bring:
- Teaching series that link theory to clinical practice
- Workshops that build confidence and skills
- Events that are well organised and well promoted
I'd love your vote for the subcommittee this year. I'm ready to get involved and help make this society's teaching and events the best they can be.
Thank you for reading!
