Pranav Sharma
At Imperial, we’re surrounded by ambition. I want us to build a community where more people have the support, opportunities and confidence to act on theirs.
Through the UK Youth Parliament, I’ve represented 240,000 young people in Surrey and led national campaigns, such as Votes at 16. As part of the Transport for London Youth Panel, I helped deliver the first permanent seat for a young Londoner on its Board, because we as young people deserve a hand in shaping the decisions that affect us. As the EIE Year representative, the people I represent are my friends and my coursemates sitting beside me in lectures.
Having had the experience of representing my friends and communities at the largest level and enacting real change for London, I want to bring that same passion for change to the Faculty of Engineering, to bring together a community, a voice, and change that outlasts any one of us, making the experience of an Imperial Engineering student the richest it could be.
As your council representative, I want to bring your voices to the forefront, bringing student proposals to the Union, keep my representation accountable with monthly feedback, accountability and ideation sessions and create a more cohesive Engineering community with CGCU for cross departmental initiatives to meet a community of engineers we might never get to meet otherwise!
I really hope to have your vote as your next Council Representative!
