Anaya Patel
Manifesto
We, Anaya and Sacha, are running for academic reps because we want every Biochemistry student to feel heard and to see their feedback lead to change.
Approachable and reliable
We are open, easy to talk to, and comfortable raising issues with staff . With different learning styles and personalities, we hope that whoever you are, you’ll find one of us easy to relate to. We are great friends, so we collaborate well. We attend lectures consistently, so we can resolve live issues as they arise.
Proactive
Over the summer, we wrote a freshers’ guide to labs. As we progress, we’ll keep sharing advice from older years throughout the years
Transparent and fair
We will request:
- Median and quartile data for coursework and exams, so you can see where you stand in the year group.
- Year-group feedback on coursework, so everyone learns from common mistakes and strong answers.
- Peer assessment in group projects, as other courses already use, so that contribution is recognised.
Connected
We will build stronger links with older year groups, so you can get advice on modules, options, and labs from people who have been through them. We will also suggest a careers panel featuring a range of student and graduate pathways, so you can see the many directions a Biochemistry degree can take.
Accountable
We will always report back, and when something cannot change, we will tell you why
With your support, we’ll turn your feedback into real change, one step at a time. Vote Anaya and Sacha for academic reps
