As a current subcommittee member I have been involved in the society long enough to understand what makes our events work and what holds them back. Funding is always at the centre of that.

This year I got involved in reaching out to sponsors for our events and saw how much of an impact securing the right partnerships makes. One thing I feel we could develop is broadening the types of sponsors we approach. There are a lot of businesses and organisations beyond the usual student-facing companies that would genuinely benefit from engaging with Imperial's Tamil community, and I think we are yet to tap into that fully. Reaching out to a wider range of industries would bring in more funding and open doors for our members too.

I want to make sponsorship a more ambitious and structured part of how the society operates, creating a process that future committees can build on year after year rather than starting from scratch each time.

I genuinely care about what the Tamil Society does at Imperial and I want to make sure we have the resources to do it properly and keep growing.
