Imperial Tamil Society brings students together through culture and large-scale events such as Mega Maalai. As Head of Sponsorship, I would ensure the society has the financial backing needed to deliver these events to a high standard while building strong relationships with sponsors and charities.

What attracts me to this role is the combination of communication, organisation and initiative. I am comfortable engaging with people directly, building rapport and persuading them to support meaningful projects. This role appeals to me because its success directly influences the quality of our events and charitable impact.

I believe I am well suited to this position due to my experience in people-facing environments. Through volunteering in healthcare and charity settings, I have developed strong communication skills, professionalism and the ability to stay organised while managing multiple responsibilities. My experience organising Tamil events through my Tamil school has also taught me to plan ahead, coordinate teams and take ownership of tasks.

As Head of Sponsorship, I would actively seek potential sponsors, improve the sponsorship booklet, arrange meetings and secure contracts. I would maintain communication with sponsors throughout the Mega Maalai process, ensuring materials are collected for brochures and sponsor involvement is coordinated effectively. I would also support fundraising initiatives and strengthen relationships with charities to maximise impact.

Most importantly, I would bring persistence, organisation and initiative to the role. I am confident in following through on commitments, chasing outcomes and working closely with the Treasurer to ensure sponsorship agreements are fulfilled effectively.
