Aran Vallabh

Hello everyone,

I’m Aran Vallabh, and I’m running to be your next Industrial Relations Officer.

ChemSoc is full of ambitious, talented students but unfortunately opportunity doesn’t just appear easily. It’s built through strong industry connections and consistent engagement in the industry. I want to strengthen those bridges between us and the industries that we aspire to join.

I will make the connections to new industries and survey the society to see which areas are popular but underrepresented in the Careers Fairs. I wish to make a real impact and hope that I can help everyone with getting into the job market despite the current climate. I will work closely alongside the Events Officers to organise careers events for you and I am not afraid of being ignored so will persistently reach out to new companies for you.

If elected, I promise to be proactive in expanding our industrial links, maintain strong relationships with existing partners and deliver career-focused events that genuinely benefit members.

As they say it's not what you know but who you know. You can handle the 'what you know' and I'll deal with the 'who you know'.
