Tim Corney

Hi, my name is Tim, and I am applying for the role of Neuro Society Secretary. I have always had a strong interest in the field of neurology, and, if elected, I hope to channel this passion into helping our members explore this field beyond the lecture theatre.

As secretary, my main goal would be to ensure that the society runs smoothly behind the scenes, so that events, talks and opportunities are as accessible and engaging as possible for all students. Personally, I am someone who strives towards keeping myself very organised and structured in the way I work. My workflow values efficiency, and I consistently implement punctual planning, concise communication, and strong attention to detail when I am trying to meet deadlines, or organise lessons for the students I tutor.

If elected, I will focus on:

- Clear and concise communication between committee members, speakers, and society members, so everyone stays informed about events and opportunities.

- Well organised meetings and records, ensuring agendas and minutes are structured and accessible.

- Supporting events and initiatives by coordinating logistics and ensuring things run efficiently.

- Improving engagement, ensuring opportunities in neurology are shared widely so that more students can get involved.

Ultimately, the role of secretary requires someone who is organised, time efficient, and passionate about the field of neurology, which makes me very confident in my ability to support the Neuro Society as its secretary. I am extremely keen to contribute and play an active role in helping the society continue to grow.
