Surgical: Trauma Conference Chair

Hello everyone! I’m Aayush, and I’m running to be your next Trauma Conference Chair.

Having attended the Trauma Conference this year, I saw firsthand the impact and reputation it holds as Imperial’s largest medical conference and it would be a true privilege to build on that success and help take it to the next level.

Over the past year, I have been involved in organising several major events, including the London-wide LMSRC (London Medical Schools Research Conference), Specialities Spotlight in collaboration with MedEd and SurgSoc, and the Clinical Genetics Conference at Imperial. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver a high-quality, large-scale conference - from speaker coordination and logistics to audience engagement and promotion. I am confident in my ability to apply this experience to further elevate the Trauma Conference.

My vision for the year ahead:

Broaden the speaker lineup - building on an already outstanding speaker roster, I aim to invite leaders at the forefront of AI integration in trauma care, as well as experts in acute and critical care management.
New workshops - I plan to introduce immersive elements such as live simulation theatre demonstrating real-time A–E assessments and trauma calls, alongside surgical skills challenges with prizes to foster a healthy, engaging sense of competition.
Expand marketing and outreach - Through creative campaign trailers and speaker spotlights I want to generate engagement early amongst medical students all over the country
