Hiya!! I’m Tiffanie, a second year student, and I am very excited to be running for Events Officer again :)
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the DoCSoc committee, where I’ve learned the inner workings of what it takes to organise great events - from logistics and budgeting, to making sure everything runs smoothly.
I was lucky to be an organiser for ICHack this year, where I led your favourite T4 bubble tea break and karaoke session. Having experienced ICHack both as a hacker and as an organiser - alongside attending many hackathons myself - I understand first-hand what makes a hacker experience genuinely exciting and unforgettable. Beyond ICHack, I’ve also suggested events like our cat café trips (a huge success!) and introduced pastel de nata as part of our ICHack sweet treats.
If re-elected, I would love to:
- Continue our trips to London’s iconic musicals!
- Organise jazz bar nights (drinks included 👀)
- Have events like escape game, laser tag, fairgame, paintball
- Include some fun hands-on creative workshops (terrarium making, glass making, pottery, jewellery making…)
Most importantly, I want to keep creating events that you genuinely look forward to.
