Hi everyone!

I’m Zak, a second-year computing student, and I’m running to be your events officer!

As your events officer, I’d love to hear about the activities you guys love, and make sure they’re the ones you get!

I’ll put you at the forefront of all the decisions and work to bring your ideas to the table. I want to make sure that the events we run will be actually fun, so I’ll commit a lot of time in ensuring that and make sure everyone has a banging time.

I want to also make sure the dates of the events work in your favour. That way you're not having to make any awkward compromises between your academics and having a bit of fun.

On top of that, having been a long-term volunteer for ICHack, I know what it takes to run a good event and have good insight into how DoCSoc events are run. That way we can hit the ground running with some solid events as soon as the year starts, and make sure they keep coming throughout.

A personal event I would look forward to running would be a DoCSoc poker tournament that I’m sure many of you would love to take part in!
