Alex Wondra
Hello everyone! My name is Alex and I'm running to be your wellbeing representative in the physics department.
A bit about myself: I'm a first year physics student, I speak English, Chinese and Spanish, and I use any pronouns. I'm running because I love physics, and want to support students learning and wellbeing in physics.
I want to make the department an inclusive and diverse place where everyone feels like they belong and can do their best, which I believe is the best way to improve student wellbeing and academic performance. Additionally, I want to build community in physics, and create friendships between students regardless of year or background.
I'm not running to implement my views or thinking. Instead I want to embody the opinions and views of the student body, and make your wishes and ideas come true. To do this, I promise to always have an open mind and work to the best of my ability with department staff to make the changes that you want to see a reality.
I'm dedicated, hardworking, and a strong communicator, which means I will effectively represent the students of physics in the department leadership. I have a lot of experience in student government and representation, and I will use what I've learned in this experiences in these role to make myself a more effective leader.
Thank you for considering my candidacy!
Feel free to reach out to me anytime with any questions or comments about my candidacy.
