Alp Dinckoc

Hi everyone! My name is Alp Dinckoc and I am a second year biochemist. I would love to be your VP of Education for the following year, and help all of you reach greater heights in your academic lives by ensuring your time learning at Imperial runs as smoothly as possible.

I would focus on improving the following:

• Internships & Career Opportunities: I will focus on giving easier access and communication regarding internship opportunities such as UROP’s and departmental projects. I will also focus on increasing career opportunities for us by communicating with postgraduates and career networks.
• Feedback: I will work to improve the speed and quality of feedback in coursework to ensure more accurate, meaningful and high-quality results (Nobody wants to wait 3 months for feedback).
• Interdepartmental Communication: I will focus on maintaining communication between departmental VPs and ensure streamlined discussions, keeping up the work done by my predecessor (and his predecessor).
• Course Changes: I will make sure that any major changes to module content and timeline reflect the wishes of the students who take that course. I will also ensure that important changes to deadlines, lecture times, course details all make it to all of you guys on time and happen within reasonable boundaries.
