Hey everyone, I’m Arushika and would love to be your volunteer coordinator next year!

This past year with Playteam has been incredibly rewarding for me. Volunteering with the children in the hospital, and connecting with their appreciative parents, has truly shown me the impact of our work and the importance of continuing to run this programme efficiently. The joy I’ve experienced in our sessions was extremely rewarding, and I would love to give back in this role.

Being part of Playteam has taught me the importance of organisation and dedication. My time on the Just Bollywood dance team last year emphasised these skills, as I committed to numerous rehearsals and embraced teamwork, and I am confident that these abilities will greatly benefit me as volunteer coordinator. Moreover, my passion for working with children has been a constant in my life. Whether it's volunteering at my dance class or supporting underprivileged children during my Horizons, I've always found immense fulfilment in these interactions.

In my role as volunteer coordinator, I'll be primarily responsible for organising the distribution of our polos. I'm keen on continuing and promoting our reselling scheme to ensure that acquiring polos is a hassle-free experience for our volunteers. Additionally, I'm committed to making polo purchases more accessible and keeping a close eye on our stock levels.

I am committed to succeeding in this role and am very passionate about expanding our outreach programme. I'm eager to lend my support to other areas of the committee as well :)
