Postgraduate Research Representation Chair

Hello everyone! I' m Jing Xu, am from Beijing, China, and am President's PhD Scholar in Computing at Imperial College. I am currently working as a council representative (PG Engineering) in the Imperial College Union, council member of UK Tsinghua Association, and organizational committee member of world economic forum global shapers community SSI. I am now looking to take the experience I have gained to date one step forward.

If elected as the Postgraduate Research Representation Chair, I will actively work to achieve the following goals:

  1. I will support postgraduate students to share their work with communities through outreach activities to increase the exchange of academic research and showcase its value and impact on society, and create opportunities for postgraduate students to connect with relevant stakeholders.
  2. Establish a sharing community that provides opportunities for conference, project, work, visiting and competition for everyone, and they can share their views, works, challenges, and successes.
  3. I will be open and ready to take feedback throughout the year. I believe that everyone can work together to make Imperial College a better place.

I am willing to step up to the standard to allow everyone within the postgraduate to enjoy their years of study and be confident whenever they want to get their ideas heard by the College and receive the support and resources they need.
