Hey! I’m Sarah, a 4th year Medic and I’m running to be your next Secretary and Communications Officer!
Having been on various committees, I understand just how much hard work students put into their roles and want to be able to share their achievements with the wider ICSM community. With this position, I aim to increase transparency between the SU and the rest of the medical school and to provide a platform for the student voice.
Aims
1. Facilitate the student voice
- Increase engagement with more frequent student Instagram and Facebook takeovers
- Provide students with opportunities to write about events and experiences that they’re passionate about
- Increase media on key events such as Pride Month, Black History Month and more
- Collaborate with ICU officers and societies, to promote their campaigns and events
2. Increase transparency between the SU and the wider ICSM community
- Release SU meeting minutes to build trust with students
- More frequent social media posts to update students on SU activity
- Update the ICSMSU website and collaborate with the rest of the SU to ensure the wider ICSM community understands their roles and objectives
3. Increase the efficiency of the SU
- Be consistent with sending out the weekly newsletters
- Ensure action points from SU meetings are completed, so that the SU runs smoothly
