Biology has always been fascinating to me! BioSoc's events are always fun, but they're disorganised. I want to give back and improve BioSoc so it can truly shine and make it worthwhile for everyone :)
Here's what I'll do:
1) Make public communication straightforward
I will make BioSoc updates clearer and more consistent so that you will know what BioSoc is doing, what's coming up, and most importantly: how you can actually get involved.
2) Give members a genuine voice
I want to establish regular “BioSoc Pulse” check-ins: short chances for members to propose events, speakers, collaborations or suggestions for improvement. BioSoc should be shaped with its members, not just designed for them.
3) Follow up properly from committee meetings
All major events are accompanied by many spreadsheets, messages, and deadlines. I'll ensure that decisions taken by the committee and the follow-ups are properly organised so that exciting ideas actually go from the group chat to your calendar. If I'm successful, you'll think BioSoc never had issues in the first place ;)
Thanks so much for reading 🧡Be sure to read everyone's manifestos.
