I’m Anna and I’m a second-year bio student. I’m currently your Publicity Officer, and I’d love the opportunity to continue contributing to BioSoc!
My Goals:
Create a new BioSoc website. This will bring all of BioSoc’s information together in one centralised location. It would also give BioSoc a stronger image towards sponsors, meaning more free stuff!
Introduce a monthly events calendar. I want you to have more advance notice of events, so you can actually plan ahead rather than finding out about things at the last minute.
Bring back the BioSoc feedback form. I want members to have more of a say in what BioSoc does, this was used last year and worked well, so we should bring it back.
My Qualifications:
You guys already know I can do this job well. While this position has been vacant I’ve already been doing the work. Helping to manage emails, liaising with the Student Support Officer, and keeping everyone updated about events in the group chats.
I’ve already delivered results for BioSoc. Since becoming PubOff, I’ve increased BioSoc’s following by 15% and views by over 40,000. I promised to make event promotion clearer and create a more cohesive BioSoc Instagram. I’ve done both.
I’ll bring communications and management experience. I’ve worked on communications for Save the Iberian Orca and ARCHELON. I love graphic design, and I’m chronically online, so emails will be answered fast…
