Hi everyone! I'm Joung Youn, and I'm running to be your Year 1 EFDS Academic Representative!

I want to make sure every student's voice is heard and that our concerns lead to real change.

As students on such a new and evolving course, we have a unique opportunity to shape what EFDS becomes. I want to work towards improving not only the quality of our education, but also the recognition of our degree and the career opportunities it opens up, especially in today's competitive graduate job market.

Transitioning from school to university is overwhelming: heavier workloads, greater independence, and a faster pace of learning. I want to ensure no one gets left behind by advocating for better support with time management, making academic help more accessible, and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable asking for help.

Whether it’s managing workloads, improving academic support, or ensuring our course keeps pace with a rapidly changing world, I want to make sure your ideas and concerns reach the people who can make a difference. More importantly, I want to follow up on the issues you raise, keep you informed of progress, and push for meaningful change.

If I am elected, I promise to be a diligent, willing and approachable representative who will raise issues, attend all meetings, and make sure eveyone is kept up to date.

My goal is simple: to listen to you, represent you, and turn your feedback into meaningful action.
