Working class students come here after a long journey to receive the best education that they deserve however, they still do carry some burdens, primarily financial burdens. Even if their families don't want them to worry about it, the thought of financial struggle still preys on their minds from time to time which can impact their studies heavily. Not only that, most of these students are the first in their family to get this far, meaning that they'll have to navigate through this new life mostly all by themselves. Until now, I have not even mentioned international students as myself, where these hardships can weigh even more. This is why I want to stand for this position. I am Nathan Zhang, a first year student from Belgium, who even not being here for so long, already has understood these difficulties and want to fight these problems that all of us don't deserve to be encountering. I have been living among working class citizens for my whole life. Their way of thinking, working and enduring is all too familiar to me. I want you to share your worries with me, to release yourself from these troubles and for us to fight them together. I want to advocate for more financial and social support. I want all of you to know that you are not alone, that you are heard here at the university. I want you to have a representative you can relate to.
