James Guan
Hi everyone!
I'm James, and I'm running to continue as your wellbeing representative this year.
Last year, I regularly checked in with the cohort through anonymous feedback forms, raised issues affecting students during the Student and Staff Committee meetings, clarified practical matters such as our locker arrangements, and helped organise the Valentine’s Movie Night to give everyone a chance to relax and spend time together outside lectures.
We all know that Year 2 is likely to be more demanding, and I'd love to help make it a little easier for everyone to get through. If re-elected, I’ll continue checking in regularly, making it easy to raise wellbeing related concerns, and passing on feedback whenever something can be improved.
I’d also like to help organise more low-pressure social activities, giving us opportunities to take a break from work and stay connected as a cohort. With workloads getting heavier, I think having small chances to relax, talk and feel part of the year group can make a real difference. If you have any ideas, feel free to contact me!
Most importantly, no issue is “too small” to mention. Whether something is affecting the whole cohort or you just need someone to listen, I’ll always be happy to help where I can.
Best regards,
James Guan
