Alberto Bodas Gallego

Hi!

My name is Alberto. I am a second year PhD student in Aeronautics, and I'm standing for Ethics and Environment Network Member to work together with other students to try to advance the changes we'd all like to see, from action on the climate crisis and the Net Zero Index to BDS.

We've all experienced how efforts to try to change things for the better can get lost in the system, and as a result it's often hard to see where any of the effort put in by our students, staff and societies has actually gone. My goal as a Network Member would be to work together with as many of our activist societies as possible to put together joint motions and actions, as we can achieve a lot more collaborating that we can do separately! As well as advocating in behalf of the changes we propose, I also aim to feed back to the engaged students and societies about how their changes are being pursued by the Union to make sure there is increased transparency, and we all know what actions are being taken with regards to our petitions and goals.

If better transparency and joint action across activist societies at Imperial is something you'd like to see, I hope you'll lend me your support and that we can work together throughout the year! Let's all keep pushing to make things better :)

Best,

Alberto
