Ishani Basu

Hi, I’m Ishani!!

We’ve barely made it past freshers, and already the pressure is building. Lectures have begun, and the content is piling up. We're all starting to realise just how big the jump from college to university really is.

As someone who took a gap year and already experienced first year once, I understand how overwhelming it can get. University demands so much more independent learning, and that can be daunting in itself, especially when you’re also finding your feet and settling into a new life in London, one of the busiest cities in the world!

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from my experience, it’s to never be afraid to ask for help. We’re all in this together! Your friends, classmates and professors want to see you succeed, and no one should feel like they have to struggle through this degree alone.

That’s why, as your academic rep, I want to be someone you can turn to. I will listen to your concerns, take your opinions seriously, and make sure your voices are heard. Whether it’s course content, the way lectures are taught, or anything else affecting your academics, I’ll do my best to communicate your feedback and work towards shaping a more accessible and supportive course for everyone.

So remember, a concern, a suggestion, or simply need someone to listen, I’m only a friendly ear away!! Vote for me, Ishani, as your academic rep, and let’s make sure that no one has to navigate this journey alone.
