Mia Bowness

Hi everyone, my name is Mia and I'm one of your fellow Year 1 Chemists this year! I would love to be one of your academic representatives and help to ensure that we all have a successful and enjoyable first year here at Imperial. I know that the uncertainty of the next few months can seem daunting - it is for me too... but, I hope that I would be able to reduce any stress or anxiety you may have around the academic side of university life by providing you with an accessible way to voice your concerns and feedback. Communication is essential in creating a positive and supportive learning environment, so I would aim to provide a consistent dialogue between us and the department, as well as follow up, and keep you updated.

I want to be easily reachable, so feel free to contact me whenever; this could be through Whatsapp (I'm on the groupchat!), Instagram, email, or even by simply grabbing me after a lecture or a lab. I'm here to talk about anything, from a problem with a module, to a quick, casual chat. By giving you all the opportunity to talk about any problems, we can work together to solve them as soon as possible and hopefully make some more friends along the way.
