Chemistry (UG): Year One Academic Representative

In my first weeks at Imperial, I’ve noticed how difficult it can be to stay on top of everything. As Chemistry Academic Year Rep, I want to gather feedback and find ways to make course information and deadlines easier to navigate, so we can spend less time figuring out what’s happening and more time focusing on learning chemistry that we all love.

Not every concern is easy to raise publicly. I’ll make space for you to share issues and feedback privately with the departmental representatives and staff.

Having lived in four countries, I know that adjusting to a new culture and academic system can be difficult. I want everyone to feel supported as they find their feet at Imperial. Helping others has long been important to me. I’ve supported classmates with maths and science since primary school, taught my Singaporean friend Japanese, and even coached football for kids. I enjoy helping others using my experience.

I want to be someone anyone in our year group feels comfortable approaching, without hesitation, and to ensure that everyone's views and concerns are represented fairly.
