Hi! I’m Robyn, and I’m running for Secretary of Neurotech Society!

I’m a 4th year Biomedical Engineer on the Electrical Bioengineering stream, and am currently doing a Year in Industry at Siemens Healthineers as an R&D Electronics & Software Engineer.

Previously, I've been involved in neurotechnology industry work, working on designing and manufacturing neural electrodes for whole-brain emulation, and have two years of committee experience with the Imperial College Symphony Orchestra, including helping to organise a 100+ person international tour to Spain as well as a year of experience as Secretary.

As Neurotech Secretary, I’d like to support the society by introducing a few small initiatives to strengthen the community and make members feel more connected:

· Smaller, bite-size weekly update emails with the imminent upcoming events and opportunities, that are clear, structured, and easy to read (because who doesn’t love when important sections are highlighted in rainbow colours).

· A “Neurotech Soc Member Highlight” feature in the monthly newsletter to help both existing/newer members to connect within the community.

· Baking rotas for society socials and events - a simple (and delicious) way to make gatherings more fun and collaborative!

With my previous committee experience, industry exposure, and an odd passion for itineraries, I’m confident I can help ensure the society runs smoothly, communicates clearly, and continues to build a strong and welcoming community.
