Sean Wu
As a first-year Bioengineering student with a strong interest in biotechnology, medical technology, and digital health, I want to help make MedTech one of the most valuable societies for students looking to explore healthcare innovation.
My goal is to build a speaker series and workshop programme that is accessible, practical, and inspiring for students from all backgrounds and year groups.
If elected, I will focus on:
• Bringing in a diverse range of speakers from startups, industry, academia, and the NHS to provide insight into different MedTech career paths.
• Organising hands-on workshops that develop useful skills, including medical device design, coding for healthcare applications, AI in medicine, regulatory affairs, and innovation entrepreneurship.
• Creating opportunities for networking through informal Q&A sessions and smaller speaker events where students can engage directly with professionals.
• Collaborating with other Imperial societies and external organisations to expand the range of events available to members.
My experience as a tutor and peer mentor has taught me how to communicate complex ideas clearly and create engaging learning environments. Combined with my passion for healthcare innovation, I am committed to delivering events that help students learn new skills, build connections, and discover opportunities within the MedTech sector.
Vote for me if you want practical workshops, inspiring speakers, and more opportunities to engage with the future of healthcare technology.
