Lara Shazell

Hi everyone! I'm Lara, currently a 5th-year medical student, and I'm hoping to be your acute medicine lead for ICACS!

I've previously held the Intensive Care Lead position for ICACS, so I have a really good understanding of how this society works and what we can do to improve!

In this position, I would love to explore more interactive opportunities within the various specialities, such as:

• small content talks
• career talks and guidance
• experience days/fellowships, as some of the other London acute care societies have

I know we only get very brief exposure to some specialities in med school (esp anaesthetics) - therefore, I would love to try to offer more opportunities for those who are interested and would like to learn more about them/improve their CV!
