Sikh: Vice President
VJKK VJKF everyone,

My name is Asaavari, and I am running to be your Sikh Society Vice President.

Having grown up doing Kirtan and Seva within the community, one thing that has always stood out to me is the importance of our Sangat. Uni can be an exciting but challenging time, especially when many of us are away from home and the communities we have grown up in. For me, Sikh Society should be a place where we can find that sense of family and belonging.

Sikh Soc is more than just a society. It is a space where we can come together through our shared values, learn from one another, and support each other in our journeys. I want to help foster a community that uplifts its members both spiritually and educationally, creating opportunities for us to strengthen our understanding of Sikhi, engage in meaningful discussions, and build lasting friendships rooted in Miri Piri, Seva and Sangat.

Having served as Secretary this year, I have gained valuable experience in the day-to-day running of the Society. From event planning and organising to managing logistics and building relationships with Sikh Societies across London, I understand what goes on behind the scenes, how to help our Society thrive and the importance of putting Imperial on the London Sikh Soc map.

I would be honoured to continue serving our Sangat as your VP and to help make Sikh Society a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring home away from home for all of you.
