Amna Rida

Hi everyone, I'm Amna, a third-year medical student, and I'm running for Deputy Editor for the ICSM Gazette.

Through my experience as Academic Editor and Events Officer and by working with such an amazing team, I have developed a strong understanding of both the editorial process and how to work within a team to deliver high-quality content consistently. As Deputy Editor, I want to take on a broader role in shaping the direction, collaboration, and overall standard of the Gazette.

If elected, I will:

• Support the team in maintaining a clear vision and high editorial standards.
• Improve coordination between sections to ensure consistency and smooth production timelines.
• Strengthen communication within the team to make collaboration more efficient and supportive.
• Encourage innovation while maintaining the Gazette's academic credibility and standards.

My goal is to continue building Gazette that is professional, engaging and representative of our student body. Above all, I would work to make Gazette a space where young students and writers are encouraged to contribute in any form, with the freedom to share their ideas in a thoughtful and well-informed way.
