👋 Hello! My name is Imesh and I'm a third-year medic! I am running for Deputy Editor because of my previous experience as Website Officer for the Gazette!

As Website Officer 🌐, I have seen first-hand how much potential the ICSM Gazette has - not just as a publication, but as a platform that connects students across years and with different interests. As Deputy Editor, I want to build on that foundation and help shape the Gazette into something students actively look forward to engaging with.

Through managing the website, the blog and also the ICSM Gazette Instagram, I developed a strong understanding of the importance of consistency, liaising closely with other committee members, aiding punctual collection of articles from editors, creating and refining posts, as well as generating ideas and editing for the podcast. This experience has given me, not just technical skills, but also both the leadership (overseeing multiple projects) and collaborative skills needed to support the Editor-in-Chief effectively.

I aim to:

💻Continue to maintain and grow the blog and social media from prior experience

💡Help the Gazette itself grow in both quality and reach including to those outside of Medicine

⏱️Maintain a reliable publishing schedule

🧑‍🎓Expand academic outputs with collaborations with other societies to increase engagement
