Good ideas matter, but making sure people hear about them is what turns them into great events.

Hi everyone,

I’m a third year medical student running for Media and Publicity Officer for FemTech because I want to help ensure the society’s ideas, events, and discussions reach as many people as possible.

Women’s health has historically been underrepresented in research, technology, and clinical conversations. Societies like FemTech play an important role in creating space for those discussions and bringing attention to innovation in this area. As Media and Publicity Officer, I would focus on communicating the society’s work clearly so that events, initiatives, and opportunities reach the people who are interested in engaging with them.

My aim would be to keep communication organised, consistent, and easy to follow so members always know what is happening and feel encouraged to get involved. Effective publicity helps good ideas reach the audience they deserve and helps build a stronger and more connected community.

I’m organised, reliable, and enjoy thinking about how ideas are communicated and shared. I would approach the role thoughtfully and work closely with the committee to make sure the society’s work remains visible and engaging throughout the year.
