Zeynep Saglam

Hello everyone! I’m Zeynep and I’m running for Media and Publicity Officer. Last year, I started out as a member of the subcommittee. We did amazing work as subcom, with FemTech Friday and publicity for events. Toward the end of the year, I also stepped in as an acting officer when needed, which helped me see into the responsibility, organisation and leadership the role requires.

Good media was really important for our conference, and we saw that this year. I really enjoyed working together with every member to make our events happen, and designing the posters for our final conference, as well as publicizing the conference, making LinkedIn posts, tagging our sponsors, shaping our media appearance and more! Our media team worked incredibly well together and I would love to carry that same motivation into next year.

I believe my experience running 4 accounts with 2k+ followers, including the FemTech accounts, and my five years of experience as a Public Relations Head and content creator for a robotics club, where I led branding strategy and project promotions, are part of some qualities that would make me a good choice for next year. I’m confident not only in creating engaging content but in planning strategically, especially for FemTech Fridays, ensuring all our promotions are done in a timely manner.

Canva, Figma, and Adobe are my hobbies, and I love designing all sorts of media! I will continue to try to build a recognisable identity that reflects the innovation of FemTech.
