Hi guys! Having recently attended the Obs & Gynae undergraduate conference, I was struck by how powerful well-organised academic spaces can be. The structure, speaker flow, and atmosphere created an experience that was both educational and inspiring. I would love the opportunity to contribute behind the scenes to ensure the continued success and growth of this event.
As Conference Coordinator, my focus would be on organisation, efficiency, and creating a seamless experience for both speakers and attendees.
My experience working as a Marketing Associate at a student-focused startup has strengthened my communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within a team under pressure. These are crucial when managing logistics such as speaker coordination, scheduling, promotion, and attendee engagement. I would ensure clear communication between committees, timely planning milestones, and strong collaboration with external speakers and partner societies.
Beyond logistics, I am extremely passionate about the themes discussed at the conference, particularly gender bias in healthcare, reproductive health education, and the need to move away from fear-based narratives around pregnancy. Supporting an event that brings these conversations to light aligns strongly with my academic interests and future career in medicine.
I want to help deliver a conference that continues to inspire, educate, and grow in impact year after year!
