Hi everyone, I am Yana!

Through running for events officer in Hindu Society, I hope to help plan events that bring all of us together as a community. I have had the privilege of attending many Hindu Soc events this year and I really enjoy the chance to come together and practice our faith especially during stressful times, so it would be wonderful to be part of the team!

In particular, for the big three events we have, Garba, Diwali Ball and Holi, which are already amazing events, my aim would be to make them even bigger and better! For example, I hope to make our Imperial Holi much bigger, by moving to an external location, and have much more colours for everyone, music, and free food, so we can celebrate the occasion with many more people.

In addition to this, I would love to have more collaborations with external speakers who can help us apply the principles of Santana Dharma to our lives and other uni’s Hindu Societies. As an incoming committee member of Krishna Consciousness Society, I will plan more events with both societies so that we can hopefully all connect with each other, and God, even more.

I hope that by being a committee member of Hindu Soc, I can give back to the society in a small way and hopefully take it to new heights. Thank you so much for reading my manifesto, and I would really appreciate your vote! ❤️🕉️
