Hello everyone! My name is Yuchen Ma, and I am honoured to stand as a candidate for Vice President of the Imperial Chinese Students and Scholars Association (IC CSSA) in the 2026 Leadership Elections.

IC CSSA is more than just a society; it is a home and a support network for Chinese students and scholars navigating life at Imperial. Studying abroad is a journey filled with both excitement and challenges, and a strong, united community can make all the difference. I am running for Vice President to ensure that every member feels supported, connected, and empowered to thrive.

My vision is built on three core pillars. First, fostering a stronger, more inclusive community. I will introduce regular social gatherings, from welcome events to cultural celebrations, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to build lasting friendships. I will also establish a mentorship scheme to help new students navigate academic and daily life with guidance from senior peers.

Second, I am committed to enhancing academic and career prospects. We will expand our professional portfolio by hosting targeted networking sessions and panel discussions with alumni and industry leaders across sectors like technology, finance, and research.

Finally, I aim to be a cultural bridge, promoting Chinese heritage through collaborative events with other Imperial societies, enriching our diverse campus.
