Chloe Liu
Hi everyone, I’m Chloe Liu, and I’m honoured to run for Vice President of the Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA).
Over the past year, I have served as the Head of Sports Department at CSSA, and I am also an Event Officer at CGCU, where I have been part of the committee for two years. These experiences have allowed me to actively contribute to the Chinese student community and gain a deeper understanding of how student organisations operate.
During my time in CSSA, I organised three London inter-university tennis tournaments, bringing together Chinese students from different universities through sports and strengthening connections across the community. I was also involved in organising the Imperial College Chinese New Year Gala 2026 (Year of the Horse) and the Imperial College Freshers Meet-up, helping create welcoming and engaging spaces for both new and returning students.
Through these experiences, I realised that CSSA is more than just a society — it is a community that connects students, culture, and a sense of belonging while studying abroad.
If elected as Vice President, I hope to work with the team to:
Expand and diversify CSSA activities
Beyond major events, I hope to organise more sports, social, and cultural activities throughout the year so that more students can get involved.
Strengthen collaboration with other universities
By hosting more inter-university events in London, we can connect Chinese students across campuses and build a larger, stronger community.
Better support new students
Through orientation events, information sharing, and mentorship opportunities, we can help
