Hi! I'm Jeffrey Cheung, your Senior Events Officer in DoCSoc this year, and I’m excited to stand for the role again. I’ve spent the past year making sure our events run smoothly and reducing the frustration that often comes with organising and attending them.
You might have wondered why DoCSoc barnights disappeared. That's because the union have introduced new rules that made running alcoholic events nearly impossible. After a year fiddling with all the Union rules, I'm confident to bring barnights back next year, and in fact I am already working on making them happen in the upcoming term. From here on, all events will only get more fun than you could have ever imagined.
I’m also the Hacker Experience Team Lead for IC Hack 26. If you enjoyed the food and drinks at IC Hack, whether they met or exceeded your expectations, I’m committed to bringing that same level of care and quality to next year’s hackathon and to all of our social events.
University life is short, and the moments we remember most often come from the communities we’re part of. I’m committed to making DoCSoc’s events not just enjoyable, but genuinely meaningful—something that brings us together and makes our time at Imperial unforgettable.
