Investment: Head of Sell-Side Corporate Relations

Hi everyone! My name’s Ethan, and I’m a 2nd-year Mechanical Engineering student. Like many at Imperial, finance wasn’t something I started with; it was something I chose to learn.

Investment Society played a big role in that journey. Through QTC and our events, I’ve built my financial foundation and gained exposure to the sell-side. It showed me how powerful structured access and the right network can be, especially from a STEM background.

Why Me?

My experience as a Naval Officer and as a summer trading intern at Tradition shaped how I think about responsibility and collaboration. In both environments, progress depends on preparation, clear communication, and strong relationships.

That mindset of consistency, structure, and long-term thinking is especially important in Corporate Relations, where trust and continuity matter.

My Vision

With that in mind, I aim to:

  • Develop sustained partnerships with banks, market makers, and boutiques, prioritising long-term engagement over isolated events.

  • Encourage more desk-specific interactions, giving members clearer insight into real sell-side roles.

  • Strengthen alumni and analyst connections, making the transition from STEM to finance more transparent.

  • Continue positioning Imperial as a reliable pipeline that firms value year after year.

If elected, I will treat this role as a responsibility to build relationships that endure and create access that matters.

Thank you for your time. I would be grateful for the opportunity to serve as your Head of Sell-Side Corporate Relations.
