Ayushman Puri
As Publicity Officer, my role would be to ensure that the Hindu Society is visible, approachable, and engaging for every student at Imperial. I would focus on keeping our community informed, involved, and excited about all society events, from pujas and festivals to socials, workshops, and speaker sessions.
I would take responsibility for clear and timely communication. I would make sure every announcement would provide essential details, be easy to understand, and designed to capture attention, making it simple for students to plan to attend, with clear instructions on dates, times, and locations. I would also make a special effort to ensure the society feels approachable, particularly for freshers, helping them navigate events and feel welcome from the start, making hindu society feel like a home away from home.
To foster engagement, I would create interactive content such as countdowns, polls, Q&As, and highlights from past events, sharing glimpses of our activities and celebrations, aiming to create a sense of community and encourage participation from both new and returning students. I would also actively gather and respond to feedback, ensuring members’ voices are heard and communication continues to improve. Additionally, I would communicate with partners outside Imperial, including other Hindu societies, community partners, and special guests to expand our events, collaborations, and opportunities for members.
In this role, I would dedicate myself to keeping the Hindu Society well-informed, energized, and connected, helping every student enjoy and participate fully in our sanskriti (culture), bhakti (faith), and samāj (community) at Imperial.
