Women in Business: Head of Events/Sponsorship

Hi everyone! I’m Inès, a 2nd year Molecular Bioengineering student and I'm excited to be running as Head of Events!

At Imperial, I’ve worked to develop my leadership, networking, and event-planning skills, which I believe make me well suited for this role.

As Treasurer of Imperial College Investment Society, I went beyond my role to organise events like an online presentation with Pictet, one of Europe’s leading Wealth and Asset Managers, and a Women in Finance event with the Women in Mathematics Society, encouraging more women to explore careers in finance.

At AIESEC in Imperial, as Team Leader of External Relations, I organised large-scale events including a Hackathon with 90+ applicants and multiple sponsors and a Diversity in Surgery event with 100+ attendees.

Our society thrives on building a network of ambitious women and equipping them with the skills needed to break into competitive careers. I want to strengthen our reputation as the go-to society for women to grow professionally, build confidence, and connect with inspiring professionals and other ambitious women!

My Plans for WIB:

Industry Insight Panels - Professionals across finance, consulting, tech, and entrepreneurship.
Career Bootcamps & Skill Workshops - CVs, interviews, public speaking, and assessment centres.
Networking Sessions - Office visits and speed networking with alumni and professionals.
Cross-Society Collaborations - Events with other WIB societies and other Imperial societies
Socials – Think pilates, pottery workshops, jewellery-making!
Flagship Events - Continue building on our infamous Women’s Career Fair in collaboration with WSET and FemTech and our Annual Charity Dinner to connect members with leading employers.
