Olivia Brenninkmeijer
Hi! I’m Olivia, a second-year Biochemistry student, and I’m excited to run for Head of Internal/Alumni Relations this year.
I’ve experienced first-hand the value of the WiB alumni mentorship scheme, which supported me throughout this year’s application cycle. My mentor’s guidance made me become a stronger, more confident applicant, and helped me receive my upcoming summer internship at BNP Paribas (Global Markets) and spring offers from J.P. Morgan and Barclays (S&T).
Because the scheme has been so beneficial for me, I’m eager to give back and help make the 2026–2027 mentorship programme even stronger. I believe fostering a community where we openly share advice, resources, and experiences is key to helping one another succeed in whichever career paths we choose.
If elected, I aim to increase alumni engagement and expand our network, broaden mentor representation across industries (including VC, PE, Fintech, SWE, and Law), organise more informal alumni networking events, and introduce greater structure to the mentorship scheme. My goal is to make applications clearer, more accessible, and less daunting, to allow you to put forward the best version of yourself.
Beyond applications, I’ve been actively involved in student societies, previously serving as Co-Sponsorship Manager at Imperial Women in Trading (a subsociety under Algorithmic Trading Society) and stepping into the role of President for 2026–2027. I would love to bring my experience, connections, and enthusiasm to make WiB your career guide.
Thank you for your consideration!
