Lena Hamza

Hi everyone! My name is Lena and I would really love to be Secretary for Plastic Surgery Society. I have developed a real interest in the specialty this year, through organising a clinical attachment for myself during which I shadowed a Plastic Surgeon and by attending conferences such as ‘Emergencies in Plastics’ which I found truly inspiring. For this reason, I would love to be a part of this society and explore my interest further, whilst contributing to events which will inspire others. I took part in organising an academic conference this year, ‘Meet the Paediatricians’ (during my role as subcommittee member for Paediatric society) and so I have developed various skills necessary for this role, such as organisation and forward planning. In addition, being an active committee member of SIMA (Student Iraqi Medical Association) as charity officer has meant that I have further developed my skills of being proactive and working well alongside others, so for these reasons please vote for me!
